How imperfect are we? Most of us can easily see that we are not perfect when perfection is the absence of sin. We are sinners, and we know that. But the presence of sin in our fallen nature is part of our nature, therefore, it tends not to convict us of our imperfection. We already know it, and we already know that Jesus has taken care of this sin problem for us. We can now stand before our holy God, cleansed by the blood of His Son.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then let\u2019s look at it from a different viewpoint, from the angle of LOVE.<\/span><\/p>\n

34\u00a0<\/sup><\/em>When the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.\u00a035\u00a0<\/sup>Then one of them,\u00a0a lawyer, asked\u00a0Him a question,\u00a0testing Him, and saying,\u00a036\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTeacher, which\u00a0is\u00a0the great commandment in the law?\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

37\u00a0<\/sup><\/em>Jesus said to him,\u00a0<\/em>\u201c\u2018You shall love the\u00a0<\/u><\/em>Lord<\/u><\/em>\u00a0your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind<\/u><\/em>.\u2019<\/em>\u00a038\u00a0<\/sup><\/em>This is\u00a0the\u00a0first and great commandment<\/u>.<\/em>\u00a039\u00a0<\/sup><\/em>And\u00a0the\u00a0second\u00a0is\u00a0like it:<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>\u2018You shall love your neighbor as yourself<\/u>.\u2019<\/em>\u00a040\u00a0<\/sup><\/em>On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

God, our creator, the God we worship, is perfect love. He tells us that love, loving Him and loving each other, is our calling in life. In other words, love is very important. Let\u2019s go into the Bible and find out what God tells us love is and see how we measure up to it.<\/span><\/p>\n
