Featuring Chris’s earliest lyrics written for the Lord, and still some of his favorites, The Tragedy of Complexity is a collection of 12 acoustic songs, with guitar, keys, drums, and bass.
Featuring the instrumental expertise of Lucas Diaz, By His Name contains eight songs that span several genres. The album breaks from Chris’s acoustic sound and enters the realm of the electric guitar.
On June 2nd, 2023, Chris formed a band to debut the release of By His Name.
Band members include Pastor Bruce Payne on keys (whose epic intro to Revival lives forever on The Tragedy of Complexity), Danae Cherry on bass, Edmond Banks on keys and vocals, Nathan Cherry on drums, Daniela Long on vocals, Caroll Buitrago-Long as MC, David Long on videography, and Micah Cherry on sound.
The concert includes songs from the album and songs yet recorded, with a never heard before or after spoken word piece by Chris.
In 2024, Chris organized a series of concerts featuring Christian songwriters from the southern Illinois area. The Christian Songwriter’s Showcase featured 14 artists over a 5-month span.
The artists represent a diverse mix of musical genres.
